Building description
Fireworks designed and installed a Hydramist high pressure watermist system to provide full fire suppression to a large oven at their main bakery in Bolton , Lancs. The system was designed to NFPA750 standards along with EN 1245 – 2004 and EN54.

The travelling ovens produce 10,000 large loaves per hour and the bread travels through the oven for up to 25 minutes.

During the last decade Warburtons have invested over £400m into the business, to build new and upgrade bakeries which included £20million of investment to their Burnley bakery, equipping it with the capability to produce 34,000 individual items per hour.

Since the company was first established by Thomas and Ellen Warburton back in 1876, it has been passed down through five generations of family bakers, and proudly remains a private family-owned and run business. The fifth generation of Warburtons - Jonathan, Ross and Brett - have actively managed the company since 1991.

They are an ambitious business and have doubled in size in the last decade alone. Not content with just being the no. 1 bread brand in Britain, or even the second biggest grocery brand (Nielsen, Jan 2015), they are striving to be Britain’s best food business.
