Fireworks have recently installed a Sem-Safe High Pressure water mist fire suppression system for the Four Seasons Hotel Group at 10 Trinity Square in London.
This was a very prestigious contract to have been involved in and it took over 18 months to complete. The hotel is the old Port of London Authority headquarters in Tower Hill. The Grade II-listed building, designed by the renowned architect Sir Edwin Cooper, opened in 1922, having cost more than £1-million to build an astronomical figure at the time.
Despite suffering extensive bomb damage during the Second World War, it survived to host the inaugural assembly of the United Nations in what is now the UN Ballroom. More recently, it came to prominence as one of the filming locations for the 2012 James Bond film, Skyfall.
Ten Trinity Square has a total of 100 hotel bedrooms, 41 private residences, a spa, restaurants, bars and a club. The building restauration has been a meticulous process where the main purpose was to preserve the details of the original building. Installing a fire fighting system in the building had to be done in line with the preservation philosophy.
The aesthetic design of the SEM-SAFE® high-pressure water mist nozzles integrates perfectly with the elegant architectural style of the Trinity building.
